The award winning Firle Place International Horse Trials is one of the leading affiliated One Day Event in the South East. The event celebrated its 40th Anniversary last year. With this being Firle’s 41st year Organiser Jo Carr has decided to hand over the reins to BEDE Events to carry on growing to this event, with its highly successful Country Fair and Dog Festival, it attracts a large crowd and is an extremely popular day out for all the family, and the dogs. BEDE Events hopes to be able to build on this great format to take it from strength to strength in the coming years.

Firle Place International Horse Trials and Country Fair offers a showcase for some of the best riders in Southern England. Embracing three disciplines: the elegance of dressage, the skill of show jumping and the courage of riding a solid cross country course, eventing provides an exciting challenge for both horse and rider. This is combined with a Country Fair and Dog Festival , incorporating a large Food Market, Terrier, Lurcher and Dog Show, Gundog Scurry, Longdog and Terrier Racing, Trade Stands, Traditional Fun Fair, fully licenced Bar and Archery.
The hospitality marquee is situated next to the show jumping arena also with a view of the cross country course. We offer a champagne reception and lunch. The event also offers:
- An elegant 16th Century house and park set in beautiful grounds at the foot of the South Downs
- In excess of 5000 visitors attending over the two days
- Over 500 equestrian competitors from across Southern England, including a CIC* International Class
- Stalls from Farmers Markets across the South East

Prime Cross Country Fence Sponsorship
This allows your company to name one of the key fences on the exciting cross country course. The fence will be accessible to all the competitors, spectators and press photographers, and will also appear on the web site, making it a prominent form of advertising.
The benefits of becoming a Prime Cross Country Fence sponsor include:
Naming one of the prime challenging cross country fences, with regular acknowledgement of your company’s involvement
You will receive invitations for four to the Champagne Reception and Lunch which includes free admission to the event
Acknowledgement of your contribution in the programme
An average of 800 to 1000 programmes will be distributed at the event, and all advertisers will also be mentioned on the web site, with links to their own web sites where relevant. Quarter, half and full page advertising is available.
