Some Intro and Pre-Novice may be required to do day before dressage. In the event of a ballot preference will be given to those able to do so, please state on entry form if UNABLE to do so.

ENTRIES
Please make cheques payable to FIRLE PLACE ONE DAY EVENT. Send entries to the Entries Secretary. Separate cheques are required for each horse. Please write horses' names on back of cheques. Please enclose separate 9"x4" self seal SAE for each horse. FAXED entries will NOT be accepted. If you require similar times to another competitor, please ensure they are posted together.
INTERNET entries will be accepted on www.bdwp.co.uk/aallen. Internet entries must be paid by ballot date or competitor may forfeit their place.
A WAITING LIST - will be maintained. Please indicate if you WISH to be included in the event of a ballot, those waitlisted will be notified immediately a space is available. If you do not compete your entry fee will be refunded.
WITHDRAWALS by 20:00 Mon August 25 by telephoning 01608 811070.
REFUND POLICY - 100% refund will be given for withdrawals before ballot date.
STARTING TIMES are available between 18:00 and 20:00 Wed August 27 on 01323 485276. Starting Times also available on website www.bdwp.co.uk/fir.
Starting Fees include a programme. Starting Fees payable on collection of numbers (cash only please).

STABLING
Local stabling can be arranged at £16.00 (£20.00 if shavings required). Please send stabling fees with stabling form, cheques made payable to Firle Place ODE. Send stabling forms and SAE directly to the Organisers.

PET PLAN EQUINE British Intro Regional Final
South East Eventers League Qualifier.
Owner/Rider Sponsors' Section: One Novice section will be a sponsors' section - each rider will be allocated a sponsor for the day, with a special prize for the winning combination. Please state if you wish to be entered on the entry form.

Pre-Novice: quality prizes donated by generous sponsors to 10th place

SPECIAL PRIZES:
The Christine Scott Trophy, £50 and champagne to the highest placed Novice Rider over 40;
The Previous Organisers' Prize to the highest placed Helper at Each Grade (to be eligible you must provide proof of help for one day at a BE Event in the 2003 season, including Firle);
A gift voucher for £100 from Frogpool Manor Saddlers for the highest placed Novice Rider Under 21;
A day with the Coakham Bloodhounds for the highest placed Novice Local Rider (residing within 25 miles of Firle);
The Vice Versa Trophy donated by Alex McCracken Saddlery to the highest placed Pre Novice Rider Over 40;
A portrait by Sarah Aspinall of the horse owned by the highest placed Local Pre Novice Rider (residing within 25 miles of Firle);
A day paragliding with Sussex Hangliding and Paragliding for the highest placed Pre Novice Rider Under 21.
A treatment by Liz Oakenfold for the horse of the highest placed Local Intro Rider (residing within 25 miles of Firle).

Tack Tagg has also generously donated a free saddle tag/one year registration to the winning rider in each section.

We are also planning to include special prizes for the Intro Sections.

Please indicate eligibility on the Entry Form and check with the web site or Secretary on the day for a final update. Eligibility for any of the special prizes must be indicated by 12 Noon on the day of competition.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Firle is run over undulating old parkland turf. If necessary, measures will be taken to ensure good landing and take-offs. The fences, including the brand new Novice course, are built to be solid and inviting with alternatives where necessary. The Pre-Novice course will NOT include the stew pond/ditch this year! The Intro course is designed to give experience and confidence to new entrants/young horses.

ACCOMMODATION & CATERING
A range of refreshments available throughout the event. Accommodation list is available from the Organisers - please send SAE.

ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES/motorcycles will not be permitted.

** HELPERS needed as we go up to two full days. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO COMPETITORS OFFERING TO HELP OR PROVIDE HELP**

ENTERTAINMENT
The Firle Park Eventers Ball will be held on Saturday August 30th in the hospitality marquee - black tie/white shirt/no jacket - with dinner, live band and fireworks, on behalf of Hope in the Valley and Spinal Research. Contact Event Chairman Nigel Dean on 01342 322728 to book tickets or see the web site for more details.

There will be a Kennel Club licensed dog show, terrier racing, fun fair, trade stands and French Food Market on the Sunday, offering entertainment for the whole family, including the dog, so bring them all along!

SCHOOLING - There is a possibility that the course may be open for schooling for two days after the event, depending on the weather. Please book in with the secretary or call 07973 103 110 (please do not call during the event) to book in.

LOCATION
Grid reference 466078. Firle Place is situated in the lea of the South Downs, some three miles east of Lewes, just off the A27 Lewes - Eastbourne road. It will be clearly signposted off the A27 or check on the website for a map link.
