Thank you to all who came to help and compete, and make the weekend such a huge success. Once we have all recovered, I will post some of the images and results from the horse trials and the 'dog heaven' that made such a huge contribution to the event's success.
The gundog scurry was a wonderful addition to the dog events, and watching the huge variety of dogs enjoying themselves, along with their owners, certainly helped to make Sunday an fun day.
Elaine Wilson and JJ complete on their dressage score to win the Mitsubishi Motors BE100 Regional Final, Supported by Rainbow Equine who donated some wonderful rugs for the nine qualifiers - Elaine seen here leading the victory gallop around the show jumping arena!

Gundog Scurry Results
A light drizzle and a keen wind couldn't dampen the spirits of Sundays gundog scurry participants. We had a great day and managed to raise £375 for the Hope Valley Riding School for the Disabled and the Breast Cancer Campaign.
Our thanks to David and Dawn Jarvis from Oscar Petfoods for sponsoring the prizes and to our band of merry helpers who were on hand from very early to quite late making sure everything ran smoothly, thank you.
Winners are listed below followed by photographs of some of our prizewinners.

Exciting News in 2009
We will be running Regional Finals for the Mitsubishi Motors BE90 (Intro) and BE100 (PreNovice) Championships which will be held at Badminton in 2010. As if getting to splash through the famous Badminton lake is not enough (ovea course designed and built by our course designers, Willis Brothers) Rainbow Equine is generously supporting the Mitsubishi Motors BE100 Regional Final with beautiful new commemorative rugs for the qualifiers. They are also giving a rug to the winner of every section:

We are pleased to welcome Rainbow Equine as a new sponsor. Says director Kerry Viney, "We are delighted to be sponsoring the BE100 Regional Final at Firle Place Horse Trials. We will be providing beautiful commemorative show rugs for the first five riders to qualify for the final and to the winners in all other sections. It is important for us in our launch year to be supporting such a great local event and the grassroots level of Eventing". She adds, “The opportunity to compete at Badminton 2010 is a huge incentive for any rider. I think that its is an excellent opportunity for us to be associated with such a great competition, and we look forward to what we hope will be a hotly contested regional final”.

We are also delighted to welcome
the ochre organisation as a
new Novice Section sponsor for 2009. Says Managing Director Sharon Bayliss, "
the ochre organisation is a business transformation consultancy based in the south-east. It was important to us to sponsor Firle this year as our aim is to work with and support where necessary our local community. We look forward to what I am sure will be an enjoyable event for competitor and spectator alike."
